According to a news reports, Reliance Jio is said to have capped the upload speeds of JioFiber at one-tenth of download speeds. The lowered upload speeds might only be a bug at the provider’s end and could go up soon.
Reliance Jio may soon change the benefits available under its JioFiber plans. According to a new report by TelecomTalk, Reliance Jio has capped JioFiber’s upload speed to one-tenth download speed, citing various tweets.
Giving an example, it is said, if your download speed is at 100Mbps, then your upload speed will be capped at 10Mbps. This does not reflect on the company’s own website, which currently only reflects previous plans.
Lower upload speeds may just bug the provider’s end and go up soon. However, if the report is to be believed to be true, we will soon see Jio making an announcement, elaborating on its new plans and all it offers to customers under them.
Jio has recently started charging its JioFiber customers under the set plan, with the company asking its customers to choose a plan they want to migrate from the JioFiber preview offer. If they fail to do so, the company is transferring them to the Bronze Pack for Rs 699 per month.

JioFiber plans currently start at Rs 199 per week for unlimited usage at 100Mbps speed. Monthly plans include a Rs 699 broadband pack, which includes 150GB data at 100Mbps speed, Silver plan for Rs 849, 400GB data at 100Mbps, Gold plan for Rs 1,299, under which customers can get 750GB data at 250Mbps for Rs 2,499. are given. Plan with 1,500GB data at 500Mbps, Rs 3,499 Platinum plan with 2,500GB data at 1Gbps and 8,499 Titanium plan with 5,000GB data at 1Gbps.
